About the Institution
The UConn Health Center is a vibrant, integrated academic medical center. In 2011, the Health Center is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its founding. The UConn Health center is combination of several medical centers namely the UConn Health Center is home to the School of Medicine, School of Dental Medicine, John Dempsey Hospital, UConn Medical Group, UConn Health Partners, University Dentists and research facilities.

The program sponsors only J1 visa and have approximately 30% or more foreign medical graduates as their current residents.
Benefits
The residents in PGY-1get an annual salary of $53,600. The following benefits are also provided:
Medical and Dental Insurance, With 3 to 4 weeks of vacation per year. You are allowed additional time for educational leave at the discretion of the program director.
Life Insurance, Dependent Care - This plan allows you to pay for child care or care for an incapacitated spouse/parent by having monies for that care deducted from your salary on a pre-tax basis, thus reducing your taxable income.
