2. Why do I need your service?
The months of July, August and September are very hectic. Not only do you have to look up programs, but you also have to send documents to ERAS, start working on the CAF and the dreaded SOP! Not to mention the fact that some of you will also be appearing for any pending USMLE exams. Therefore, having a list which easily helps you eliminate programs is of paramount importance to be able to apply early. Visiting the website of each program or  to contact them for their minimum requirements can be quite taxing as some specialties like Internal medicine have more than 400 programs. If one plans to apply to more than one specialty then it becomes impossible to shortlist programs.

A very common reason for candidates not getting matched is the lack of groundwork prior to applying. With limited residency positions and intense competition with b candidates, you cannot afford such mistakes. Careful planning is very essential to ensure a good number of interviews, which translates into a greater probability of matching to a residency program. ERAS applications can cost thousands of dollars when sending random applications. The list provided by us is a guide - a base table with the minimum program requirements for specialties. You will have to narrow down using our list to the number of programs you qualify at any point before you apply. You could qualify/ not qualify for programs just because of one extra criteria. Again two months hence you could qualify since you have acquired that requirement. However you are strongly recommended to verify the data with the Residency Programs whose information you obtain from us. Before deciding to apply or not to apply based on the data and information provided to you by us, you MUST always contact the program and obtain the necessary up-to-date information and data.

We obtain the data just as you would do - through endless research. We dig through their website and also confirm the information by calling the residency coordinators office. However we must point out that most data has been collected by end of July this year and hence the data reflects that timeframe. Many programs inform us about their last years requirements and say that they do not have any specific requirements for this year yet. It is simply impossible due to all the changes that take place at residency programs to have accurate information. You will find some percentage of errors - some programs change their criteria or requirements, some residents leave and so on. However, the data is accurate as of the

This list serves as an initial foundation that can be used to quickly get to your shortlist. Once you shortlist your programs we advise you to call them and verify that they satisfy your objectives.
